Tracking
Tracking is the actual process of recording individual instruments and vocals into our digital audio workstation (DAW) via separate tracks. This also includes getting levels/volumes, EQing/tone shaping, and initial setup.
Mixing
This is done after the recording process is complete. It involves leveling tracks, adding effects, panning for stereo mixes, fixing any unwanted parts, and getting rid of unneccessary noise.
Mastering
The final step for all audio. This is where we add additional compression, EQ, expanders, and limiters to the overall mix or mixes. Also, this is where the ordering of tracks and transitions (such as fade ins/outs) take place.
We are willing to work within your budget! Tell us your project and we'll give you a quote! Typical projects usually start around $15/hr and include tracking, mixing, and mastering. Other packages are available and can be negotiated upon request.
